BL.INK Free Plan in 2026: No Free Tier, a 21-Day Trial, and Plans Listed From $48 a Month

BL.INK has no free plan. New accounts get a 21-day trial with one domain, 1,000 links and 1,000 tracked clicks per link, then plans listed from $48 to $599 a month. Here is every limit, what happens at each, and the best alternatives.

Light-theme card summarizing BL.INK in 2026: no free plan, a 21-day trial with one domain and 1,000 links, paid plans from $48 a month, and Loftware as owner.

No, BL.INK does not have a free plan. New accounts get a 21-day free trial, and BL.INK says you need no credit card to create an account.

After 21 days you pick a paid plan, listed from $48 to $599 a month, or the account is subject to removal. When we checked on 28 October 2026, bl.ink/pricing redirected to a sales page at Loftware, which bought BL.INK in 2025.

Short answer: BL.INK has no free plan. Its 21-day trial includes one domain, one user, 1,000 links and 1,000 tracked clicks per link, with no card needed. After that, BL.INK's help center lists plans from $48 to $599 a month, and the Loftware-owned site no longer shows prices.

Does BL.INK have a free plan in 2026?

No: BL.INK's Plans Overview, last modified 30 January 2025, lists a 21-day trial and five paid tiers, with no free tier. The trial is a test drive of paid features, not a plan you can stay on. Here is what it includes.

Checked 28 October 2026, from BL.INK's help center.

FeatureBL.INK 21-day trial
Price$0 for 21 days
Credit card to startNot required
Domains and users1 domain, 1 user
Links1,000
Tracked clicks per link1,000 (the link still redirects after that)
Paid features includedSome paid features, such as dynamic links, fuller analytics and destination editing
When it endsAdd a card and keep a plan (billing starts on day 22), or the account is subject to removal

BL.INK also strongly recommends using your own domain instead of the shared b.link domain. The catches below show why.

What happens when you hit a BL.INK limit?

Usually your links keep working while something else stops. At a click cap, a link still redirects but its analytics stop, and at the link cap you cannot create new links. Cancel, though, and every link and its data is deleted for good.

Checked 28 October 2026, from the BL.INK help articles in Sources.

Limit you hitWhat happensYour options
Click cap per link: 1,000 on the trial, 7,500 to 60,000 on self-serve plansRedirects continue, but clicks stop being counted. Emails go out at 70% and 90%.Upgrade (the gap is lost), reset clicks, or buy Wildcard tokens
Link cap: 1,000 on the trial, 10,000 to 250,000 on self-serve plansNo new links. Emails go out at 70% and 90%.Upgrade, or delete links
10,000 redirects or 1,000 API link creations an hour (self-serve plans)BL.INK may not guarantee uninterrupted serviceEnterprise uses contract soft limits
Resetting a link's clicksThe count returns to zero and its click history is permanently deletedPaid plans only; not for b.link links
Canceling the accountAll links and data are deleted, irreversiblyExport links as CSV first
Domain bought through BL.INK, autorenew offThe domain is lost one year after purchaseKeep autorenew and a valid card

BL.INK says a capped link "will continue to redirect all clicks that are received." But clicks between the cap and an upgrade are lost for good, which is easy to miss on a campaign that takes off.

What are the catches with BL.INK?

The main catch is cost: no free tier, and the cheapest listed plan is $48 a month for one user and one domain. The rest sit in the analytics and the fine print. Four matter most before you start a trial.

1. $48 a month buys basic analytics

Expert+ comes with basic reporting and analytics. Location and referral data, IP blocking and the 301 redirect option start on SMB at $99 a month, as do dynamic links. The trial includes some of these SMB features, so choosing Expert+ afterward can feel like a downgrade.

2. Trial links are temporary until you pay

After 21 days, accounts that have not upgraded are subject to removal. Do not print a trial link on anything that has to last.

3. Links on b.link cannot follow you

BL.INK's migration guide says only links on a custom domain can be migrated, not links on a shared domain. The same logic applies if you leave, so put long-lived links on a domain you own.

4. Branded QR designs are an Enterprise add-on

Every BL.INK link gets a QR code. Templates with your colors, shapes and a center logo are listed as an add-on module for Enterprise plans.

How much does BL.INK cost in 2026?

BL.INK's help center lists four self-serve plans: Expert+ at $48 a month, SMB at $99, Team at $299 and Business at $599. Enterprise is a custom quote. Prices are per month, annual billing is not mentioned, and the page was last modified on 30 January 2025.

The public pricing page no longer shows prices, because it redirects to Loftware. Treat these figures as BL.INK's last published list, and confirm them before you buy.

What changed after Loftware bought BL.INK?

Loftware, a supply chain product identification company, announced on 10 April 2025 that it had bought BL.INK. BL.INK told customers that accounts, links, logins and data would stay the same. By 28 October 2026, though, BL.INK's homepage and pricing page redirected to a Loftware sales page with no prices or sign-up.

  • BL.INK said the deal "will not have any material impact on BL.INK customers or new users." That help article was last updated on 11 April 2025.
  • On 28 October 2026, bl.ink, bl.ink/pricing and bl.ink/features returned a temporary (302) redirect to Loftware's Connected Packaging page. It offers a consultation, not plans or a trial.
  • The help center at help.bl.ink still loads and still documents the self-serve plans. An Enterprise article there was updated in January 2026.

We could not confirm that new self-serve sign-ups are still open. If you plan a campaign around a BL.INK trial, ask Loftware first.

What does BL.INK do well?

BL.INK is built for governed, high-stakes link programs, and its own pages back that up. Its strengths are rules-based routing, QR scans tracked apart from clicks, redirect control, admin features and published security credentials. Under Loftware, it also anchors QR codes on product packaging.

  • Dynamic links: route visitors by day, time, date, device, language, or US state and country. They need a custom domain, and their QR codes follow the same rules.
  • Scans counted apart from clicks: the system QR URL adds /q/ to the short link, so scans and clicks are tallied separately.
  • Redirect control: links use 307 redirects by default, and SMB plans and up can switch the default to 301.
  • Admin controls: user roles, IP blocking and scheduled archive or delete. Enterprise adds SAML single sign-on and trusted destinations, where links to sites not on an approved list wait for admin review.
  • Security credentials: BL.INK's blog reports SOC 2 Type 2 (2023), ISO/IEC 27001 certification (2024) and HIPAA compliance. BL.INK's compliance page now redirects to Loftware's security page, which does not mention BL.INK, so ask Loftware for current reports.
  • Packaging QR codes: Loftware pitches BL.INK for GS1 Digital Link QR codes, with broken-link alerts and backup destinations.

How does BL.INK's trial compare with free branded-link plans?

If you want a branded short link without paying, BL.INK is the wrong place to start. Short.io, Rebrandly and Dub each include custom domains on a free plan. FattyURL's free account has no custom domain, but adds custom endings, destination edits and click analytics.

Checked 28 October 2026, on each provider's own pricing page.

BL.INKNone; the 21-day trial has 1 domain and 1,000 linksExpert+, $48 a month
Short.io5 custom domains, 1,000 branded links in totalHobby, $5 a month
Rebrandly1 custom domain, 10 links a monthEssentials, from $8 a month
Dub3 custom domains, 25 new links a monthPro, from $27 a month
FattyURLNo custom domain; custom endings on a free accountPro, $9 a month, with 10 custom domains

Each has its own fine print: see our Short.io free plan breakdown, the Rebrandly free plan limits and our Dub free plan details.

What are the best BL.INK alternatives?

The best BL.INK alternative depends on why you looked at BL.INK. For free branded domains, try Short.io or Rebrandly; for an API and a SOC 2 badge at a lower entry price, try Dub. For free links with analytics on a free account, try FattyURL.

Checked 28 October 2026.

Each one also falls short somewhere. Short.io's 1,000 free links are a lifetime total, and Rebrandly's free plan has no destination edits. Dub's free plan keeps 30 days of analytics and 1,000 tracked events a month.

FattyURL is our own product. You can shorten a link or make a QR code with no account. That allows up to 10 links an hour and 50 a day per device, and those links expire after 30 days without a click.

A free account adds custom endings, destination edits, CSV export and click analytics, and its links never expire. Free links may show ads; links on a paid plan never do.

FattyURL is weaker where BL.INK is strong. It has no team workspaces or integrations, custom domains start on the $9 Pro plan, and a QR scan counts as a click.

Bitly also has a free plan, covered in our Bitly free plan and pricing breakdown. For a wider shortlist, see the best free URL shorteners in 2026.

Is BL.INK worth it, or should you switch?

BL.INK is worth it if you run a governed link program and will pay $99 a month or more. That tier buys dynamic links, location data and admin controls. If you only need branded short links on a budget, a free plan elsewhere covers it.

  • Choose BL.INK if you need location or device routing, scans counted apart from clicks, SOC 2 and ISO/IEC 27001 credentials, or GS1 packaging codes. BL.INK last reported both certifications in 2024.
  • Skip BL.INK if you are one marketer with one domain. Expert+ costs $48 a month for basic analytics, while Short.io, Rebrandly and Dub include a custom domain free.
  • Ask first if you are new. The pricing page now redirects to Loftware, so confirm that self-serve plans are still sold.

Leaving BL.INK? Work in this order:

  1. Export your links as CSV. The export with daily counts covers only the last 90 days of clicks.
  2. Set up the new provider on your own domain, and recreate your links with the same endings where it allows.
  3. Re-point the domain's DNS. BL.INK's migration guide notes that the domain owner controls this switch.
  4. Ask BL.INK support to cancel. Deletion removes all links and data, and cannot be undone.
