Who you are agreeing with

FattyURL is operated by FattyURL. Registered at 342 2nd Floor, 14th B Cross Road, 6th Main, HSR Layout Sector 6, Bangalore - 560102. Using the service means you accept these terms. If you are using it for an organisation, you confirm you may accept them on its behalf.

You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live. Nothing here removes a consumer right you have by law that cannot be waived.

Acceptable Use

FattyURL is a URL shortening service. You may use it for any lawful purpose. You may not use FattyURL to:

• Malware & Phishing Distribute viruses, trojans, or deceptive links.
• Illegal Content Link to content that violates any local or international laws.
• Spam Conduct bulk unsolicited messaging or harassment.

Paid plans and billing

The free plan requires no payment method and never converts to a paid one. Paid plans add capability that the free product does not have: branded custom domains, higher programmatic API rates, bulk creation and branded custom domains.

• Currency. All prices are in US dollars (USD). Your bank may convert and may charge its own fee, which we do not receive.
• Renewal. Plans renew automatically at the end of each period until cancelled. Your renewal date is shown at Dashboard → Billing.
• Cancellation. Cancel any time from Dashboard → Billing. Your plan runs to the end of the period you paid for.
• Refunds. 14 days, no questions asked, on the first charge of any plan. See the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
• Taxes. Prices exclude taxes unless stated. Where we are required to collect tax, it is shown before you pay.
• Price changes. We may change prices for future periods with at least 30 days' notice. A change never applies to a period you have already paid for.
• Failed payment. If a renewal fails we retry, and paid capability pauses after a grace period. Your links keep working regardless.

Custom domains

If you connect a domain you must control it, and you remain responsible for its registration, DNS and any content reached through it. A branded hostname serves redirects only — not the dashboard, account pages or billing. We may stop serving a custom domain that is used in breach of the Acceptable Use Policy, or whose control we can no longer verify.

API use

API access requires a key, which is tied to your account and must not be shared. You are responsible for what is created with your key. Requests are rate limited at the rate your plan states; sustained attempts to exceed it, or to work around it with multiple accounts, may result in suspension of API access. The web shortener is never rate limited by plan.

Service Availability

We strive for high availability. On plans that state an uptime figure, that figure is a contractual commitment with defined remedies — see the Service Level Agreement. On plans that do not, the service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for damages resulting from interruptions.

Free and paid links are served by the same system at the same speed. We do not degrade the free product to make the paid tiers look better.

Link Permanence

We are committed to keeping your links alive. See our links never expire promise, which is unconditional: we will not deactivate a working, legitimate link because it is old, because it got popular, or because you stopped paying us.

Links that violate these terms may be deactivated without notice. That is the one exception, and it exists so that a FattyURL link stays worth clicking.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that is used to defraud us or a payment provider, or where we are required to by law. Where we reasonably can, we tell you why and give you a chance to respond.

If we close your account for a reason other than abuse, we refund the unused part of any period you have paid for.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or loss of data. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, or for anything that cannot be limited by law.

Changes, and the law that applies

We may update these terms. Material changes are announced on this page with a new "last updated" date, and where they affect a paid plan we email account holders before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the change.

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the courts of India, without affecting any right you have to bring a claim where you live.
